ANAS actively takes part at “Erasmus Plus” program of the European Commission

Chief of the Department of International Relations, ANAS Presidium Administration, Dr. geology-mineralogy, Asoc. Prof. Gulam Babayev and chief Division of Relations with academic organizations of the foreign countries Bunyamin Seyidov attend in the initial meetings, which are held over “Nizami” project within the Erasmus Plus program of the European Commission.

From Azerbaijan - The Ministry of Education, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Economic University, Architecture and Construction University, Khazar University, Gafgaz University, Azerbaijan University of Languages, Azerbaijan Technical University, Nakhchivan State University and Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, from European countries - University of Montpellier in France, Sweden's Uppsala, Germany’s Heidelberg, Masaryk University in the Czech Republic, Barcelona University in Spain and Turkey's Fatih University are attended in the project coordinated by University of Montpellier.

Project aims to match doctorate studies of Azerbaijan to the European standards and mutually investigate. During three years of project, partners will hold bilateral work and organize the integration of the country to the European educational system.

In the first meeting, taken place on December 7, Gulam Babayev made a wide presentation on the general structure of ANAS, scientific-innovative activities, and international relations, spoke about latest purposeful reforms in doctorate education system in ANAS. Drawing attention to the tasks arising from challenges of the modern era in this field, he stated that, all of these are directed to the training of high-qualified young staff. He noted that, current project will contribute for doctorate studies in Azerbaijan and attendance of European institutions here will make a wide range of opportunities for joint exchange of experience.

Meeting between ANAS representatives and directory of International Relations Department of French Academy of Sciences and discussion of cooperation ties are expected on December 10.
